A high-end luxury brand is seeking a dedicated and hard-working Fashion Assistant who has the ability to take on a variety of roles within the company. This position is 50% administrative and 50% design. The ideal candidate will have a background in art or design and some prior experience in an administrative role. Knowledge of the fashion industry preferred. We are looking for someone who is motivated, a self-starter and has the ability to juggle a variety of projects. This position reports directly to the CEO/Creative Director, Anne Bowen.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Prepares press materials, including look books, DVDs of runway shows and images for the web · Assists with the preparation and modification of visual presentations · Manages a team of 10-15 interns, and coordinate the internship application process · Performs a variety of administrative/clerical duties, including answering phones, filing, organizing receipts and invoices, scheduling meetings, ordering supplies and responding to email and phone inquiries · Assists design team with collection development, sketching, preparing tech packs, graphics and other miscellaneous design projects (will be assessed for each individual depending on background and skill set) · Assists with production for the Ready-to-Wear show during Fashion Week and the Bridal Fashion Show in April. · Handles confidential financial information, such as updating budgets and projections and managing corporate bank accounts
Salary is commensurate with experience. Some late nights and weekends required.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
· College degree preferred · Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook · Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills · Self-motivated and hard-working with a team player attitude · Must be able to handle confidential business information in a secure manner
